We've been busy! And we haven't had time to put together our usual year end wrap up ... This is a good thing. In the meantime, we've come to admire the tireless work of Mr. Colin Beavan, aka No Impact Man, self described as follows:
A Guilty Liberal Finally Snaps, Swears Off Plastic, Goes Organic, Becomes a Bicycle Nut, Turns Off His Power, Composts His Poop and, While Living In New York City, Generally Turns Into a Tree Hugging Lunatic Who Tries to Save the Polar Bears and the Rest of the Planet from Environmental Catastrophe While Dragging His Baby Daughter and Prada-Wearing, Four Seasons-Loving Wife Along for the Ride.
The Good News
Colin writes really well, he and his family are having quite a bit of success in their pursuit of a year-without-impacts -- and the blog rocks, exploring dozens of difficult subjects on a monthly basis. His work typifies the fact that the green revolution is very much fueled by the power of the internet; the power to self-educate and communicate rapidly ... the idea that each of us makes the difference, as individuals sharing the same great world...
