2. Fill a cup with hot water and insert card.
3. Determine your status.
Determining Your Status
Green number is the temperature of your hot water.
Blue number appears if water's temperature is higher than the number displayed.
Tan number appears if water's temperature is lower than the number displayed.
Black number appears if water is over 150 degrees (too hot).
Please Note - As a general rule, water temperature does not need to exceed 140 degrees Fahrenheit. People all over the US are setting their tanks as low as 120 degrees Fahrenheit and enjoying great results.
