SHIPPING AND HANDLING POLICY

GoodCommonSense.Net is equipped to ship via UPS GROUND, FedEx, US Parcel Post, US Priority Mail, and various item-appropriate freight carriers, anywhere within the 48 contiguous United States. Our website offers UPS Ground as the automatic choice at this time. We are making strides towards improving your options within the shopping cart. Thanks for your patience.

GoodCommonSense.Net always offers the lowest shipping & handling rates possible on each of our excellent products. Note that shipping rates vary according to the "region" or "zone" of shipment's destination. Type of recipient (residential or commercial) can also affect a shipment's total cost. Finally, note that shipments are often priced by total box size and destination, as well as weight.

FOR A LIMITED TIME, we offer FREE SHIPPING on all domestic US orders totaling over $99 (except where noted on product's page). Act now!

*Shipping Outside of the mainland USA
GoodCommonSense can ship to Alaska and Hawaii. However, due to high processing costs, such orders require a shipping quote, a $10 processing fee, and a $100 total purchase minimum. Free Shipping is not an option. Total purchase price exceptions can be made on all recycled plastic rug products. For outside of the USA shipments, customer will be responsible for all border tariffs, delivery fees, and related. All such sales are final. We cannot accept returns on orders shipped to other countries.

When ordering from outside of the 48 contiguous United States, GoodCommonSense will contact you to finalize all details and additional shipping charges.

Incorrect Shipping Addresses
GoodCommonSense is not responsible for missed deliveries due to incorrect addresses or failure to advise of change of address. Please contact us if you have any concerns.



MISTAKEN CHARGEBACKS

Because we are a very small company -- customers sometimes do not recognize our company name on their credit card bills. (It happens!) In the event that a customer mistakenly reverses charges on an order after it's been delivered, we ask that $10 be added to your "re-ring" to cover the fees GoodCommonSense incurs from major credit card companies during chargeback processing and re-processing.

PRICING POLICY

Due to rapid and unpredictable fluctuations in fuel costs, pricing on GoodCommonSense products is sometimes apt to change before we can update the website. In the rare event that pricing were to suddenly become more expensive before the page can be updated, GoodCommonSense reserves the right to contact our customer in good faith with new pricing. Customer of course has the right to refuse shipment. Our goal is always to bring our customers the lowest pricing, the highest quality, and the best service. We apologize for inconveniences in these situations and appreciate our customer's flexibility. We will always honor our customer's instructions. Customers may request updated pricing at any time. REFUND & RETURN POLICIES

I. In matters of items shipped from our partner warehouses (conservation, green living, green professional products, and green office products), the following applies:

  • 1a. Please open and inspect your order within 2 days of receipt. If you need to initiate a return please send an e-mail to customercare "AT" goodcommonsense.net or call (512) 789-4652 for a return materials authorization (RMA) number prior to returning products. Returns sent COD will not be accepted.

  • 1b. After an RMA number is obtained, we will send you the appropriate Returns Authorization form, via email. This form must be included with your returned order.

  • 2. General Product Returns: are eligible for a time period of 30 days from date of delivery. Non-Eligible Products for return, include: caulks, tapes, and items that are not in their original condition. We want you to be satisfied with the products you purchase from us, but we cannot make refunds for products that have been installed, for which the original packaging has been destroyed, or that are otherwise not in their original and resalable condition. Customers are responsible for returning products in a safe, resellable condition -- so please pack returns carefully. You may want to insure returns of valuable merchandise.

  • 2b. Upon receipt a credit equal to the product purchase price will be issued to you through the same payment method you used to pay for the order.

  • 3. Orders Shipped Incorrectly: first of all, come with our sincerest apologies. Eligible period of time to initiate a return is 3 business days from the date of delivery. Good Common Sense.Net will either issue a UPS Call Tag or provide a prepaid return address label for you to return incorrectly shipped merchandise. We will also ship a new order -- correctly, within one business day from notification.

  • 4. Damaged Products: are eligible for return up to 3 business days from delivery date. If an order has arrived damaged you should notify both GoodCommonSense and the carrier within 3 business days. All original packaging should be kept in case the carrier chooses to inspect the damaged goods and/or shipping materials. GoodCommonSense will gladly issue a credit to you pending confirmation from the carrier. We may or may not request return of the damaged goods. If we do request that the goods be returned GoodCommonSense will either issue a UPS call tag or provide a prepaid return address label to be used for returning those items damaged in transit.

  • 5. Defective Products: are eligible for return up to 1 year from delivery date (unless otherwise noted). Depending on the original method of shipment GoodCommonSense will either issue a UPS Call Tag or send a prepaid return address label for return of the merchandise. A credit will be issued when the defective items are received. You are not responsible for the cost of return of defective merchandise when a UPS Call Tag or prepaid return address label is used. You are responsible for the cost of return shipping if you do not use one of these methods. If the merchandise fails during the manufacturer's product warranty, but after one year from the purchase date, GoodCommonSense reserves the right to refer you to the manufacturer for replacement of the failed product.

    II. In matters of items drop shipped direct from the manufacturer, including: "Equator" appliances, ESS Energy "Smart Attic" Products, the "Solex" attic fan, Nature Mill Composters, "Eco Fuel Systems" products, "Multi Pure" water filters, "Green Glass" recycled tumblers, vases & flutes, "Eclipse" & "Voltaic" portable solar charger products, the "GSO" Global Sun Oven, and "Tight Watt" pool timers - please open and inspect your order within 2 days of receipt. If you need to initiate a return please send an e-mail to customercare"AT"goodcommonsense.net or call (512) 789-4652 immediately.

  • In the event that a customer "changes their mind," or their product is affected by a shipping related injury, or a product arrives in a defective state, or becomes defective within the product manufacturer's minimum warranty guarantees or within the period of an extended warranty purchase, or an order is shipped incorrectly -- customers will work directly with the manufacturer's policies to resolve.

  • Special Returns Policy - Compostable Products
    Defective or melted compostables must be reported to GoodCommonSense within 5 business days of delivery. Returns are not accepted without prior approval from GoodCommonSense. All returned compostables merchandise is subject to a 25% restocking fee. All returns must be initiated within 10 days of delivery date. Customer is responsible for freight on all returned items.

    III. In matters of items shipped from our "trade show warehouse," including: smart cleaning products, mad mats rugs, sweep dreams brooms, recycled glass items, "smart stuff," solar sun ovens, recycled paper products, and select other internet-catalog items, we will absolutely honor your needs, please note the following:

  • 1a. General Product Returns: are eligible for a time period of 30 days from date of delivery. Non-Eligible Products for return, include: caulks, tapes, and items that are not in their original condition. We want you to be satisfied with the products you purchase from us, but we cannot make refunds for products that have been installed, for which the original packaging has been destroyed, or that are otherwise not in their original and resalable condition. Customers are responsible for returning products in a safe, resellable condition -- so please pack returns carefully. You may want to insure returns of valuable merchandise.

If an order has arrived damaged you should notify both GoodCommonSense and the carrier within 3 business days. All original packaging should be kept in case the carrier chooses to inspect the damaged goods and/or shipping materials. GoodCommonSense will gladly issue a credit to you pending confirmation from the carrier. We may or may not request return of the damaged goods. If we do request that the goods be returned Good Common Sense will either issue a UPS call tag or provide a prepaid return address label or make other arrangements with you to cover return shipping costs on any items damaged in transit.

If the merchandise fails during the manufacturer's product warranty, but after one year from the purchase date, GoodCommonSense reserves the right to refer you to the manufacturer for replacement of the failed product.

    IV. Restocking Fees. GoodCommonSense.net brings the lowest possible prices to all of our customers. As such, all returns have a minimum restocking fee of 10% of total order cost. This fee is necessary to cover the fees associated with ringing up your order via credit card. In instances wherein a product return necessitates extra work, GoodCommonSense reserves the right to require a restocking fee of up to $25 to cover additional time ad labor costs.

    V. General Notes. GoodCommonSense will serve as your Customer Support in any of these instances, making sure your needs are clearly defined and carried out to the best possible conclusion. We pride ourselves on treating our customers as we'd like to be treated. Please keep in mind, GoodCommonSense does not create the return / warranty policies for any of our manufacturer's products - and we will have to work with you and with the designated manufacturer to achieve the resolution you need.

    GoodCommonSense carefully researches and sources ALL of its catalog from the highest quality, most conscious manufacturers. It is our daily goal to provide excellent customer service and to make sure we earn your confidence and ultimately your repeat business.



    PURCHASING POLICY

    We have no minimum orders or minimum quantities. We do offer substantial discounts on large orders (over $3,000). All purchases are tax exempt, except for sales shipping to the state of Texas. All purchases ship for free according to the guidelines stated above.
