Hey, Hey, Hey!
Remember last month, when we made a big deal about a vehicle achieving 1,836 miles per gallon (mpg)? Boy, were we excited. That achievement, an amazing accomplishment (built by high school kids in Indiana!), now falls far short of the new world record: 12,665 mpg.
Holy Cow!
OK, "WOW" is definitely in order. It seems a new set of students (from the Federal Polytechnical School of Zurich) have created a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle which, granted, weighs only 66 pounds and carries one driver -- but -- with that fuel efficiency the same car will need only 2 gallons of gasoline to travel around the globe. In the process, its engine will produce only clean drinkable water as its "tailpipe emission." In other words - and in case you didn't already know -- "you can literally drink from the tailpipe" of a hydrogen fuel cell car... It's that clean...
How do I get a four seater?
