About Moisture Reduction
In the warm season, warm air exfiltration can carry water vapor that condenses in walls and attic cavities. Often this exfiltration leads to mold growth and rotting problems.
Conversely, using these boxes to reduce moisture accumulation inside your walls also reduces heating demands and enhances indoor comfort during the cold season.
About Installation
This air vapor barrier box is designed to attach to a wall or ceiling frame member and can contain up to three conventional electrical boxes. Once installed, use a silicon sealant or low expansion foam to seal the box where the wires pass through into the wall cavity. Tape the vapor barrier to the box flange with contractor's sheathing tape. Silicon sealant and low expansion foam are available in our "CAULKS FOAMS AND MASTICS" section.
